Just like watermelon, ripe papaya is usually consumed raw. The skin is often peeled, and the seeds are removed before eating it. The unripe papaya, which has a green colour, is used in cooking. The young fresh leaves of papaya are eaten as spinach.

Difference Between Papaya and Watermelon
